Redstone American Grill, Marlton

There are many restaurants in the South Jersey area that are seemingly always busy. Redstone American Grill (aka simply "Redstone") in the Promenade on Route 73 (between Evesham and Brick Road) is one of them.

Drive by Redstone in the evening and there are cars piled into the parking lot and snappy patrons spread throughout the restaurant, bar, and patio. People go for the atmosphere-- "spirited, rugged, and romantic"-- as their tagline states, and their unique menu items. The decor amounts to a kind of lush and modern ski lodge, with lots of hardwoods, masonry, and shadowy lighting. Outside, you will find a covered patio area with a large fire pit and heaters in the ceiling for hot days. This patio also stays fairly comfortable in warm weather since you're shaded from the sun and ceiling fans provide some air circulation. Nice place for outdoor seating on a warm spring evening, if that catches your fancy.

Lunch seems to be a good time to eat at Redstone since it's busy, but not packed. Dinner can get a little hectic, though going back to the outdoor theme, there is a nice waiting area out front. This restaurant/bar is a popular place for some after work drinks before heading home for the evening. And they also serve a tempting Sunday brunch, complete with mimosas and options for breakfast or lunch preferences. I'm always up for a good breakfast meal, personally, but hey, that's just me! In general the food is very good and there is something for everyone.

As far as price goes, expect to pay about $20 per person for a meal, and more if you plan to drink and/or go all out with appetizers or desserts. From what I've heard, Redstone is somehow connected with Champps, but the former is more of an upscale (read: more expensive) version than the latter, but without breaking the bank like a Center City restaurant. Good option for a date, gathering with friends, or a night out on the town, without having to go "in Town".
