Mikado Sushi and Hibachi, Marlton, NJ

Mikado Sushi and Hibachi is a three restaurant chain in South Jersey serving Japanese cuisine. There is one in Marlton at 793 Route 70 East, at the intersection of Troth Rd in a busy strip center. Another sits on the other end of Route 70 at 2320 Marlton Pike West, a few blocks past the Garden State Pavillion if you're going towards Philadelphia. A third Mikado can be found at 468 S. Lenola Rd., adjacent to the Moorestown Mall in Maple Shade, near Route 73 and Route 38.

The food, atmosphere, and service are all top notch at Mikado. You can opt to sit stovetop side and watch the hibachi chefs at work, or you can request a table in the main section of the restaurant. In either case, you'll find the food to be nicely presented and authentic, all for reasonable prices. These Mikado restaurants have become a stopover for many sushi fans or folks who want to spring for something other than Chinese-style food. Japanese food is indeed quite different from Chinese food, though there are some similarities, which are beyond the scope of this blog post. I'd say swing by to Mikado to find out for yourself! Get your chopsticks ready! (Forks available upon request of course...)

Mikado is open everyday for lunch and dinner. More information about the Mikado restaurants can be found here, including menus and maps. Reservations can be made in advance, and are probably preferred for the hibachi section. To cook up a reservation, call:

856-665-4411 for Cherry Hill Mikado
856-797-8581 for Marlton Mikado
856-638-1801 for Maple Shade Mikado
